Nursing Foundation

The Nursing Foundation department lays the groundwork for all nursing students, focusing on the essential principles, theories, and skills that form the basis of nursing practice. Students are introduced to core concepts such as patient care, health assessment, and basic clinical procedures, ensuring a strong foundation for their future studies and careers.

Medical-Surgical Nursing

This department prepares students to care for patients who are undergoing or recovering from surgery, as well as those with various acute or chronic medical conditions. The curriculum emphasizes preoperative and postoperative care, patient management, and the development of critical thinking and clinical decision-making skills. Students are trained to deliver comprehensive care in hospitals, surgical units, and other healthcare settings, ensuring that they are well-equipped to support patient recovery and overall health.

Community Health Nursing

Community Health Nursing at VHS – M.A. Chidambaram College & School of Nursing focuses on promoting and protecting the health of populations. Students are trained in preventive care, health promotion, and the management of community health issues. Child Health Nursing

Obstetrics and Gynecology Nursing
